Molly of Denali: Party Moose Lesson Plan
Read the Fine Print
Educational Use
Rating
0.0 stars

This lesson, using the animated story "Party Moose" from the series Molly of Denali, shows the importance of paying attention to meaning while reading and using strategies, such as rereading, when something doesn't make sense. Molly and her mother, a pilot in Alaska, must get a moose off the runway. When Molly can't understand what she is reading in her advice book, she rereads more slowly and figures out the meaning of an unfamiliar word through pictures. Students utilize these strategies in the context of their current literacy, STEM, or social studies unit.
