Adding Renew Wizards to Common Tasks of LIB1 & LIB2

During a recent user group meeting an INFOhio Provider received a request from the users who noted that Renew Item and Renew Single Item wizard and the Renew User Checkouts wizard were among the more commonly used functions but were not included with the Common Tasks in WorkFlows. They requested that the wizards be added for the LIB1 and LIB2 Toolbars. We reviewed the transaction logs across the state and, indeed, the Renew Single Item transaction was the fourth most frequently used transaction type.

After making the addition for the ITC, the users appreciated the change and noted that it streamlined their workflow. We are inclined to make the same change for all other ITCs to go into production on morning of Wednesday, April 12, which will impact both INFOhio-delivered toolbars, plus any custom toolbars with LIB1 or LIB2 in the name. The updated toolbars will be delivered to the user workstations that morning and the users should see the change (if they have appropriate privileges on their workstation).
