ITC INFOhio Providers

The sirsi.infohio.org server is used as the host for the CRC / INFOhio Catalog and TEMPL / INFOhio Template in SmartPort. In late-December we migrated the sirsi.infohio.org server from Solaris to RHEL. As a result of this transition a new IP address was assigned to sirsi.infohio.org. It was previously 208.108.244.219, but is now 208.108.244.138.

When IP addresses designated to a server are updated, the change is propagated across the world rather quickly, so we did not anticipate any issues. However, we heard of two districts where who had special networking rules in place allowing traffic to ports 3054 and 3094 of 208.108.244.219. Their newer networking equipment allows specifying the servername (sirsi.infohio.org), so they were able to get the issue addressed rather quickly and permanently.

Please be prepared to share this information with your ITCs or school networking staff if you have users reporting that they are unable to connect to the CRC / INFOhio Catalog orTEMPL / INFOhio Template in SmartPort.
