Objective: Students will begin exploring the basic perimeters around certain careers.

Instructional Plan:
1. Teacher will present the Occupational Outlook Handbook: U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics link in INFOhio.
2. Students will be given time to look at the projections and requirements of several different possible career possibilities.
3. Students will complete the Career Worksheet in class or for homework.
4. In class the following day, student will get in groups of 3-4 to consolidate their findings and conclusion, presenting out to the class.
Differentiation/Modifications: Media Specialist and Classroom teacher can help work with students who struggle doing this project during work time. While the groups are sharing out, teacher can put the information from the website and to the screen, helping those who were absent or still struggling to following along. Students still struggling can go over the project with intervention specialist and media specialist during research period.
Time required: 1 ½ bells
Assessment: Classroom teacher and media specialist will use the presentations to assess the understanding of the assignment, as well the completion of the career worksheet.
