Mentors are very valuable to your cyber club. Having individuals with subject matter expertise in information technology and cyber security will help your club focus on knowledge and skills attainment.

Businesses

Working with local organizations rich in Information Technology expertise is one way to find mentors for your cyber club.

Business Advisory Councils

Each Ohio school has business advisory councils that foster cooperation among schools, businesses and the communities they serve. These committees may be able to help identify a mentor for your cyber club.

Infragard

FBI Infragard Presidents across Ohio have agreed to coordinate Mentors for OC2 cyber clubs and AFA Cyberpatriot competitions.   InfraGard is a partnership between the FBI and members of the private sector that provides collaboration for mutual learning and information sharing.

Teachers and club advisors can contact these officers to help local find mentors that have passed a FBI background check but will still need an Ohio BCI check.
