The Monster MATCH! They did the Match! It's an ODLA SMASH!

Join Ohio DLA’s Special Projects and Collaborations committee for our annual Monster Match program.
The Monster Match is a fun collaborative project that enhances creativity, teamwork, reading, and writing. The target grades for this program are 3rd and 4th.
During Monster Match teachers place students into groups and have them collaboratively draw a monster. Once the group have created their monsters, they must write the instruction on how to draw their monsters.
Teacher’s classrooms are then paired with another class of a similar grade level and must exchange their monster instructions with this class for them to recreate.
Once both classes have completed all steps the classes will connect via Zoom to reveal their drawings and share their instructions. Video conferences run between 30-45mins.
Educators can let us know their preferred time and date that would work best for a connection. Pairings are made based off classes that are available at similar times. The more availability you share with us the easier we are able to pair your class. We are aiming to have classes connect Oct. 28th through Nov. 1st.
This email includes the link to a Google form to register your class. You may choose to have multiple classes or periods join, if you plan to have more than one class participate, we ask you to fill out the form for each class.
Registration closes on Friday, Oct. 11th.
Best,
