The INFOhio ICoach group is for trained ICoaches to receive updates, share, collaborate, and create for the purpose of training and outreach with Ohio's PreK-12 educators, students, and parents.
I will use Open Space groups as a sounding board and resource to hear from other professionals and find resources that I might not have been able to find on my own.
I will use Open Space groups to create collaborative communities where educators can share resources, exchange best practices, and engage in discussions related to integrating technology and digital tools in the classroom. This resource can significantly enhance professional learning by fostering peer-to-peer support, encouraging continuous development, and providing access to a wide range of high-quality instructional materials.
The unexpected implications of SB 29 have thrown our teachers for a real loop.
It's been wonderful to know INFOhio's resources are ready to be deployed in place of any used previously but are now on hold or off limits.
Here is Fairview, my fellow ICoaches--Librarian Mary Jo Cooper and a Media Aide Lisa Zeszotek-- have been able to make suggestions that not only subsitute but also ratchet up the quality of instructional materials teachers and students can readily access: Capstone, PebbleGo, BookFlix (Now including HIDDEN FIGURES!), SciencefFlix. Games galore included in all the WORLD BOOK resources--Almanac, Early Learning WBook Kids, WBook Students. HIGHLIGHTS including digital versions of full issues. With high school researchers and their teachers accustomed to using search engines, we have stressed the efficacy of databases--especially EXPLORA and POINTS OF VIEW. Teachers have been reassured to know that they are not limited to their assigned gradeband. Anyone--teachers/students--can access any grade-labeled collection. As Shakespeare wrote, "Sweet are the uses of adversity." INFOhio resources are all TREATS, no tricks!
