Lazy Loading is Now the Default in Fetch

Good morning and Happy New Year!

We hope you were able to enjoy a relaxing holiday break. With many returning to school today and tomorrow, we wanted to make you aware of a change to Fetch that occurred over the holidays. At our October 5th meeting, it was shared that infinite scroll (or lazy loading) was now an option in Fetch. Infinite scroll loads new results as you reach the end of each page, making it seem as though it is one long page. There are no page numbers to click. This technique reduces clicks, encourages discovery, and allows students to see results beyond the first page. With the positive feedback we received, infinite scroll (lazy loading) is now the default for all schools. If you would like to disable this feature in Fetch, please contact the Library Support Staff at your ITC.

Thanks!
