I think the Groups feature is one of the best things about Open Space. It's a great way for members of an education community to collaborate with each other and with other educators across the state.
Hopefully, Open Spaces becomes more prominent in my subject. There is only one resource currently available for me through this site. If this becomes more prominent, perhaps through the addition of more educators and resources in my subject, I will find others with whom to collaborate or other sites to explore for resources.
Same here, Rach. Hoping to find more resources I can use eventually. I did find a few things on careers that I can use in Senior Success but not anything for Books to Watch yet.
I agree, if there were any other art teachers using this resource I could see value in it. The 21st century learning and STEAM were the only sections I could possibly merge into my lessons. I use the Southestern Ohio Art Education Association site, Pinterest and the website I use to oreder art supplies has free lessons with videos attached. The rubric to share resources for Open Spaces is also, pretty intense.
Luckily for me Open Space has a variety of different content for me to choose from. This resource would be a great idea to share content with my Social Studies Department.
I'd love to share some of my lessons, and I'm excited to explore more to find resources I can use.
Although I am still in the process of learning about Open Space, from what I see this is a great tool statewide to share and collaborate materials to use in the classroom. Hoping to see more resources added in the future
Thank you Jennifer. I am just testing if Open Space is still sending notifications when an update is made to a discussion.
This is all new to me. However, I think this is a great platform for teachers to collaborate with others outside their district and even state. As a former elementary teacher, it is hard to find the time, but when I do, it is well worth it. I hope teachers see the benefits as well.
Open Space groups seem like a great way to gather "best practices" from LRCs of all experience levels.
