You may use any program you wish for this assignment (Google Presentation or PP or other presentation platform if you wish). You will give a presentation of your Career Plan to the class. The plan and presentation is your chance to brag about yourself. This is not to be a comedy act.

SELF EVALUATION SECTION
Section 1: MY FUTURE LIFESTYLE GOALS - how do you see yourself living in the future? Traveling, having a nice home, car, etc. Single, married, family, etc?
Section 2: MY VALUES-what things do you value in life? Love, peace, friends, family, religion, money, etc?
Section 3: MY INTERESTS-what do you like to do? Read, shop, see new places, play or watch sports, learn new things, fish, hunt, cars, etc?
Section 4: - MY APTITUDE AND SKILLS - Are you a quick learner, do you like school, do you have any special skills like speaking a second language, good at mechanical things, good computer skills or math skills, etc?
Section 5: MY PERSONALITY- Are you quiet, shy, loud, out-going, fun, kind, respectful, easy-going, grumpy, mood, happy, friendly, etc? Ask a friend how they would describe you if you need help.
Section 6: MY WORK ENVIRONMENT PREFERENCES- Like to work alone or with others? Like your work area to be quiet or do you like noise and activity? Like to sit or stand or move around on the job? Like to work outside or inside? Etc.
Section 7: CAREER POSSIBILITIES
Identify two possible career choices for yourself that would fit with your values, interests, personality, etc. Review these choices at the Occupational Outlook Handbook online (www.bls.gov/oco/) Read over the nature of work, working environment, training & education, job outlook, & earning. Type a summary for each of these two possible careers including all of this information. (You can make a chart if you like)
Section 8: CAREER IN THE NEWS
Use ISeach and look for an article about each career you researched in section 7 and summarize what you learn about the industry.
Section 9: CAREER GOAL
Now decide which one of the two career you would prefer after all your research. Answer the following questions in complete sentences.
What is your career Goal?
What have you done in the past (school, work, experience, hobbies, etc) to help prepare for this goal?
What education/training will you need in the future to prepare for this goal?
Where can you get this education/training?
Approximately how much will this education/training cost and how will you pay for it?
How does this goal fit your values, interests, aptitude & skills, personality, and work environment preferences?
What has been happening in the industry you chose? Is this a good or bad? Why?
In 15 years, where would you like to be career-wise?
